When it comes to being a college student, you realize very quickly that you are broke. What does every broke college student think about normally?

Food.

They think to themselves, “What am I going to eat after class?” It’s a hot topic.

With Christmas right around the corner, food only becomes an even hotter topic. For all of you students out there trying to figure out what cheap foods you can prepare for your Christmas parties, take a look at what we have for you.

Of course, life is short. Always start with dessert.

Fantabulous Fall/Christmas Cake!

For all of you folks out there that got stuck on desert duty, cake isn’t as difficult or as expensive as you might think. With just a few inexpensive ingredients you too can craft such a fine cake as this one. Get some friends to come help and make it an event. You will have just as much fun baking the cake as you will eating it.

Green beans: So, so yummy and good for you too!

Can you honestly think to yourself of a time you had a Christmas feast, and you didn’t have at least one side of green beans? Of course, you can’t! Because green beans and holidays go together like a turkey and its feathers. You could get several cans of green beans for less than a dollar, and the side dish only takes a few minutes to prepare.

Mashed potatoes

The day a Christmas feast doesn’t have mashed potatoes is the day the earth stands still! Mashed potatoes bless your soul like your grandmother slipping a dollar bill under the table when no one is looking. Bless your friends, and just bring some mashed potatoes and gravy already.

Bread Rolls

Bread rolls are a great addition to any feast. They remind all the participants of all the extra stomach rolls they will have after the meal. Bread rolls are super cheap and won’t break your bank. And with just the simple addition of butter, you can improve your food offering and show your friends that you’re not totally broke.
