Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings delivered a smashing record-breaking success to Marvel, raking a total of $71.6 million dollars during labor day week.

The film features Simu Liu, a Chinese-American actor who modeled for stock photos to pay off his credit card debts. Finding his break, In 2018, he tweeted Marvel in a gag post to promote himself for the role of Shang Chi.


Marvel then quickly snatched him up for the role. Casting head Sarah Finn said Liu went through a “long and arduous audition process and completely nailed every audition.” Everyone on the production team was pleased with his efforts in playing this character.

Liu’s character, Shaun, is an orphan who ran away from his assassin father at a young age to pursue a “normal life” in San Francisco. After hiding from him for years, Shaun’s father, Wenwu, comes looking for him in an effort to break the spiritual prison that his wife has been trapped in for years.

The film is filled with comedic innuendos along with stunning martial art stunts. The quality of animation is unimaginable, and the excitement this film brings delivers more value than any of the other Marvel films.

“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” is a must-see masterpiece for the new-age Marvel films, it will leave you speechless.
