Ever wish UNW had more formal events other than Five16? Well, Student Government is collaborating with CORE and Commuter Life to bring you the Emerald Ball. It will take place at a fancy, off-campus venue: La Venere. Located in St. Paul, the venue is known for its 1920s vibes.
Student Government noticed that there are not many formal events and excuses to dress up here at Northwestern, so, Senators Sophia Nielson and Jae Nelson came up with the idea to have a formal dance. They wanted to have it off campus to provide a fancier space for dancing and community. They then reached out to CORE and Commuter Life to help out with the larger event.
Enjoy ballroom style dancing including foxtrot and swing. For those who do not have as much ballroom dancing experience, a dance instructor will be present for the first part of the event. Live Jazz music will be performing and a DJ will open in the downstairs area later in the evening.
Desserts and a mocktail bar will also be available!
Save the date for November 22nd for this formal event. Tickets will be available at the ticket office. It is $15 per person. There are a limited amount of tickets, so get them before the deadline of November 7th.
