Today, we’re diving into five aesthetic coffee spots that not only serve a quality cup but also provide an ambiance worth the visit. We’ll explore each shop’s standout drinks, signature flavors, and what makes them special – all while keeping in mind the quick trip from campus. Whether you’re in need of a study spot or a cozy corner to unwind, these coffee shops are sure to impress!

1. Happy Monday (1.5 miles from campus) Hours: Monday – Saturday 7-7, Sunday 7-5:30

Happy Monday is a brand-new coffee shop just 1.5 miles from campus. It is spacious, bright, and happy, as the name suggests. They have a good matcha, and the alternative milk options are free! “One of the best matchas!” – David

2. Yellow Bird (4.6 miles) Hours: Monday – Friday 7-5, Saturday – Sunday 8-5

A great coffee shop and a quiet place to study. A bit on the smaller end, but very sunny and welcoming. They also offer free alternative milk options here!

3. Honor Coffee (5.3 miles) Hours: Monday – Friday 6:30-6, Saturday – Sunday 7-6

Honor Coffee is probably my favorite, both for its relaxing laid-back vibe and because it’s a great place to study. The coffee is a bit on the expensive side, but it’s still worth it!

4. Backstory (6 miles) Hours: Daily 7-5

Backstory is a very beautiful and spacious coffee shop. Overall, a really relaxing ambiance and a great place to hang out and study.

5. Fairgrounds Coffee (8 miles) Hours: Daily 6:30-6

Last but not least, Fairgrounds is a very charming coffee shop in the North Loop. Not only do they have delicious coffee, but they have good food too! Very nice staff and a good ambiance.

Each of these coffee spots offers a unique atmosphere and great coffee, perfect for studying or relaxing. With options so close to campus, it’s easy to find a place that feels right for you!
