When you think of Jeremiah 29, your Sunday-school-flannel-graph mind probably jumps straight to verse 11 where you read one of life’s great encouragements; knowing that God has good plan for you. However, just before that yummy scripture tidbit is another verse that gives you a little direction for those times when we just aren’t sure of what that plan is. Jeremiah 29:7 commands you to “seek the welfare of the city” no matter where the Lord plants you and that’s exactly the joy and delight behind Tedashii’s splendid new song Lights in the City.
Tedashii reminds us that we have the light of Christ in us(Matthew 5:16), so keep letting let your light shine in the city. Then he says to hang in there and don’t ever let that light go out even when we struggle to find our way because the Lord is with you. Only Tedashii sings it like this: “
