Homecoming is here, and after limited festivities last year, Northwestern is celebrating with numerous exciting events, beginning on Wednesday this week.
UNW CORE will kick off homecoming festivities with their Warewolf game night this Wednesday, September 29, starting at 7:45 pm on the campus green. Join other students for some fun outdoor competition as you get ready for homecoming weekend.
Join in more homecoming fun with CORE’s Eagle Eyes Instagram competition. Each day this week, CORE will post clues on their Instagram story to help you find a stuffed animal eagle. The first person to find and return the eagle to G117 or G112 that day will win a $25 gift card. Check out their stories @unwcore for more details.
The Music Department invites you to their Homecoming Showcase concert on Friday, October 1. From 7:30-9:30 pm in Knight Performance Hall, enjoy music from the Symphonic Band, UNW Orchestra, and Northwestern Choir. Plus, your ticket includes a dessert reception in the Graham Commons after the concert. Who doesn’t love good music and dessert? Tickets are still available, so purchase yours soon.
The climax of any homecoming is the football game, and Northwestern is no different. Celebrate UNW at the homecoming football game this Saturday from 12:00-3:00 pm, with pre-game food and fun starting at 11:00 am. Enjoy time with friends and family as you cheer on the UNW Eagles as they play against Finlandia University.
Dance the night away at UNW CORE’s homecoming dance. From 8:00 to 10:00 pm in the Nazareth Great Room, this time of dancing, celebrating, and being with friends will perfectly conclude your homecoming celebrations.
If dancing is not your thing, wrap up homecoming festivities with a concert from popular Christian musician Matt Maher and special guest Sarah Reeves on Saturday, October 2. Doors open at 6:00 pm, and the concert will begin at 7:00 pm. This time of worship will be the ideal conclusion to a busy week.
