With Thanksgiving break three weeks away and the pressure of end-of-semester projects and exams looming, it can be hard to find the motivation to keep going at this point in the year. There doesn’t seem to be much to look forward to, but there are several options around campus and the Twin Cities if you’re looking for a little excitement. If you’re at a loss for what to do this weekend, check out some of the ideas below.
UNW Theatre’s Peter Pan, A Musical Adventure is running for two more weekends, and this would be the perfect time to see it. With shows at 7:30 pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, there are plenty of options that could work for your schedule. Enjoy a night of music, adventure, and the talent of fellow UNW students.
The UNW Eagles’ last home football game is this Saturday at 7:00 pm. So come in purple and gold to cheer on your favorite team one more time before the end of the season as they play against Crown College.
UNW CORE will be hosting a SkyZone trip on November 13 from 10:00 pm to midnight. No further details are available at this time but keep checking CORE’s Instagram page for further information in the coming week.
Check your calendars to plan for some exciting concerts coming up in December. For King and Country, an acclaimed Christian music group, will bring their A Drummer Boy Christmas tour to the Target Center in Minneapolis on Saturday, December 11. Take a break from finals preparations and enjoy a night celebrating Jesus’ birth with friends and great music.
On Friday, December 17, the first day of Christmas break, enjoy an exciting night of music with local band Yam Haus as they perform at the Palace Theatre in Saint Paul.
Finally, get outside sometime this weekend! This looks like one of the last warmer weekends of the year, so maybe find a place to go for a hike, do some homework outside, or play a sport with friends.
Whatever you do this weekend, whether it’s spending time outside, seeing a musical, or planning for the next few months, find some time to take a break from homework and do something you enjoy.
