Today’s Scoop
A picture of the QR Code won’t suffice for this chapel… hopefully you didn’t miss it, but in case you did, here’s what happened at today’s Mystery Chapel!
On Tuesday February 3, during a non-traditional Mystery Chapel, President Hoornbeek announced the largest act of philanthropic generosity in the university’s history as Dan and Robin Stoltz showcased their love for the University of Northwestern through a tremendous financial donation. Due to this incredible act of generosity and loyalty to the school, UNW’s board of trustees responded by naming the School of Business in honor of the Stoltz’s.
The “Stoltz School of Business” was revealed to be officially launched Fall of 2026.
President Hoornbeek shares the reason behind the launch of this program in an official email sent out immediately following chapel.
“Launching this fall, the Stoltz School of Business aims to become a premier Christian business program, forming graduates who see success not as an end goal, but as a means of meaningful contribution to the economic, relational, and spiritual flourishing of the Twin Cities, the State of Minnesota, and to the ends of the earth.” (Hoornbeek, 2026)
So if you didn’t make it for the announcement (and the free muffins of course!) you missed out on something great, but what you won’t miss out on is the tremendous value that the Stoltz’s have invested into our campus, community, and education.
Thank you Dan and Robin!
