We pray you enjoy the offerings of this Easter and that you feel the love of Jesus more deeply. . May you experience the satisfying smile that emerges from scripture and music; soaking the soul.
We clamor for Christmas music every winter, so why not Easter music. So theMEL.fm will be playing music geared toward Good Friday and Easter all weekend long. I guess you could make a case that outside of Christmas, the rest of the year PROCLAIMS the resurrection of Christ! You’re not wrong.
However, there are some songs that are more centered on His death on the cross and others still celebrating our risen King! So much creativity and love for Jesus expressed from artists that you typically don’t associate with songs on the “radio.”
Songs from Andrew Peterson’s Resurrection Letters: Prologue and Josh Garrels’ Good Friday come to mind. As well as, decades of profound lyrical selections from a vast array of artists like Rich Mullins, Randy Stonehill, Johnny Cash, David Wilcox, Pierce Pettis, Bruce Cockburn, Sara Groves, Joel Hanson, John Mark McMillan, Jon Guerra, Chris Renzema, Delirious?, Caedmon’s Call, Madison Ryan Ward, Sandra McCracken, Liz Vice, Jess Ray, The Gray Havens, Andy Squyres, John Van Deusen, and well, I could type hundreds more. Hopefully, fully you get the idea.
We pray you enjoy the offerings of this Easter and that you feel the love of Jesus more deeply- erasing just a little more doubt and unbelief. May you experience the satisfying smile that emerges from scripture and music; soaking the soul.
