1. One of the best ways to be academically prepared for finals, is by studying. There are many ways to have quality study time, but it is important to prioritize a quiet environment and an effective plan. A study plan will look different for every person but designating time for certain classes or projects will help you plan your work accordingly.
2. Quality break times are important to an effective study time. Not only does it give your brain a break from academic thinking, but it also enables you to connect with friends and focus on relationships. A break can also mean taking a walk or taking time to read the Bible. Ultimately the point of a break is to separate from what you are studying by doing something that is relaxing for your mind and body.
3. While 8 hours of sleep is advised, it is especially important during a season of heavier stress. Sleep has many benefits on your body physically but also mentally. In getting enough sleep you are adequately preparing your body and mind for a successful study session.
4. Prayer also plays a major role in preparation for finals. Regardless of how you feel you will do on a final or during a study session, it is important to remember the truth in scripture which surpasses all worldly circumstances and exams. Even during studying, your relationship with God should remain the top priority!
5. It may be easy to forget during studying and finals week, but it is important to prioritize eating properly and hydrating your body so that your mind can be as engaged as is possible. It is recommended to consume a proper number of vitamins and eat whole foods to help reduce stress.
