On the fourth floor of Nazareth Hall lies a resource often overlooked by students, and yet it remains tremendously beneficial to those who take advantage of it. Rather than being just a physical space, career development gateways a path to professional success and personal growth for any student looking to explore what it offers.

The benefits offered by career development include career coaches who help form professional resumes and cover letters, help with finding internships and connection with professionals and alumni in any given field. These resources benefit all students regardless of their status in crafting a career plan.

Jacob Cochran serves in the role of Career Success Manager and asserts that “Even if you know exactly what you want to do, there’s usually some blind spot we can uncover.”

The benefits of career development go beyond helping students think about the future, rather, they give practical opportunities to experience growth in a particular work field.

Senior finance major, Ethan Favre consulted the office regularly and utilized many of these opportunities:

“Career development offers clarity and insight in the recruitment process. They helped me build my resume from scratch, get an internship with Edward Jones, and taught me how to market myself.”

Senior finance major, Ethan Favre

Ethan is just one of the many students who benefited from the resources that career development provides.
