The University of Northwestern – St. Paul (UNWSP) will celebrate its ninth president on December 2, 2022. Dr. Corbin Hoornbeek’s inauguration will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Students and faculty are invited to attend the ceremony. Students attending will receive Spiritual Development Credit.

Dr. Hoornbeek received his Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from Dallas Baptist University. Previously, he served as the Vice President for University Advancement at Azusa Pacific University (APU).

Dr. Hoornbeek and his wife, Heather, have been married for 28 years. They relocated to Minnesota from California. Dr. Hoornbeek is well-traveled. Before working at APU, Hoornbeek served as the major gift officer at The Navigators. While working with Navigators, Hoornbeek traveled internationally for global missions to Africa, Asia and Europe.

Dr. Hoornbeek is dedicated to the educational and spiritual growth of students at UNWSP. He has already proven to be intentional with students and present at campus events.
