The Citizens song Favorite Parts delivers a punchy fast-paced reminder to SLOW DOWN and enjoy the beauty and richness of the everyday life God has given you. His mercies are indeed new every morning and all of God is our favorite part. He’s just too big to be simply be about love. Lead singer Zach Bolen told Relevant Magazine that the record and album is “about welcoming all the complexities of humanity.”
He adds,“There’s this tendency in Christian art to focus on ‘What does this mean?’ instead of ‘What does this make me feel?’ But when people interpret art for themselves, it frees them. The mystery is the point.”
