Nine hardworking UNW communication students joined Xi Xi, Northwestern’s chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the national honor society for communication students on Monday, October 30, in the Mel Johnson Media Center. Each spring and fall, communication students who hold at least a 3.25 minimum GPA are invited to join Lambda Pi Eta which hosts over 500 active chapters at four-year colleges and universities nationwide.

Professor Laura Watkins serves as academic advisor for Xi Xi’s 27 members and relishes her role as the current perpetuator of its greatest tradition, eating pie. This year’s Xi Xi officers include:
